Tel Bet Yeraḥ (NIG 25370–25440/73530–73630; OIG 20370–20440/23530–23630) lies on the southwestern shore of Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee), the largest body of sweet water in the Levant, and their fortunes have always been intimately linked.
